Le château Grand-Puy-Lacoste se situe dans la partie sud-ouest de Pauillac et s’étend sur 90 hectares dont 55 hectares de vignoble en production d’un seul tenant. Il est classé 5ème Grand Cru dans la classification officielle des vins de Bordeaux de 1855. Grand-Puy-Lacoste bénéficie d’un terroir remarquable constitué de grosses graves profondes qui assurent un excellent drainage des eaux.

L’encépagement est constitué de cabernet sauvignon (75%), de merlot (20%) et de cabernet franc (5%), le traitement de la vigne est en lutte raisonnée et la densité de plantation est de 10 000 pieds/hectare.

Grand-Puy-Lacoste est considéré comme un vin très classique, exprimant parfaitement son terroir.

Le château produit également un second vin « Lacoste Borie ».
